Save money and have some fun by installing your brand new timber or laminate flooring purchased at Harvey Norman, The Flooring Specialist yourself by following these simple step-by-step instructions.
Step 1 - Underlay

Roll out plastic moisture barrier and underlay.
Always glue in a continuous line on the top edge of the groove.
Step 2 - Expansion Gap
Step 5 - Tightening Bar
Install the first row of boards with groove against the wall and leave minimum 15mm expansion gap using the wedges.
Use the tightening bar to tighten the last board of each row and the last row of boards of your floor.
Step 3 - Second Row
Step 6 - Scribing Last Row
Start the 2nd row with the leftover board of the first row or use one of the short planks in the pack. Glue and tap the boards together with the tapping block.
Scribe the last plank using 2 boards. Put the board exactly on top of the second last row and wedges to take into account the expansion gap. Use tightening bar to fit in.

Install moisture barrier, underlay and first row.
Use D3 cross linked PVA. Always glue top of groove.
Step 2 -

Off cut of last board used as start of second row.
Tap gently with tapping block and hammer.

Glue boards of first row and tap second row into place.
Tap last board in row with tightening bar.
Step 7 -
Scribe last row of boards and fit in with tightening bar.
TIPS:
Use only D3 cross linked PVA
Glue should be applied in a continuous line along the top edge of the groove
Remove excess glue with a damp cloth at first, then re-wipe with a dry cloth to remove any moisture. Wipe excess glue off when still wet
Lay the boards from the left to right
Boards should be laid with the groove facing the wall you started from
Tap the boards together gently, this allows a smooth and easy connection between boards
